Given all the jargon I have received lately, there seems to be confusion about what is deemed socially acceptable when using social media for self promotion, and what is not.
My view is this: It is all about value. If you are adding value, it is acceptable and you deserve the attention. If, however, you are not adding value, you are simple disrupting and distracting people. Rather leave people alone until you have something to add.
